I am Concerned…

I don’t know who these people are..so I will not vouch for them,  but I will vouch for the fact that they are right about the placement of Abortion Clinics and for the fact that abortion seems to be an intentional war against black and Latino populations in our cities.  I would also agree that this is genocide.  Abortion is a justice issue.  Plain and simple.  People can make it what ever else they like,  but the fact is a woman who has an abortion is making a decision to be an oppressor.  You can not claim to love justice and support abortion in general and abortive genocide against whole races in particular.  

The wild irony I am seeing among younger evangelicals is an abandonment of this issue to become “green”…  How sad.  I support stewardship of the earth, but why the abandonment of one of the few social issues where we evangelicals actually held the social, moral and spiritual high ground.  The earth is important.  We should protect it.  But humans alone are special among God’s creation.  If you doubt this consider: There is no redemption plan for trees.  Trees do not bare the image of God,  unborn children do.  Unborn children of every color.  Shame on us young evangelicals.  May we regain our love of Justice.

 

Why Voting Pro-Life Still Matters….

IT IS A SOCIAL JUSTICE ISSUE!

I will tell you this honestly: I  believe that a Gospel without hands and feet is impotent. I am an environmentalist. I also care deeply from the poor.    I am so concerned for racial equality that my own mother accused me of not liking white people (that’s a weird flip huh?)…I am militantly supportive of public education.  I believe that government must play a role in helping the poor…yada, yada, yada.  This is my Apostle Paul moment for all you younger evangelicals: Are you concerned about the poor:  I am more so.  Do you care about the earth?  I am greener.  Do you believe that we must end oppression?  I said it first.  To all of you who think you have cornered the market on the trendy liberal Christian,  please listen:  You are not first, nor are you alone…but it your thinking you are somewhat misguided.

Abortion is a social justice issue: How can we with a straight face say we care at all about the poor,  the ethnic, or the oppressed and then sit idly by while majority of abortions are performed on that social group?  Abortion is not just murder, it is social and ethnic cleansing.  The least “desirable” elements in our society are being weeded out  pre-birth.  If you have no moral grounding then you are fine with that…Hey good riddance. On the other hand if you follow Jesus this is what he meant by “the least of these…“  Don’t cede the  ground on this issue.  It is true there are others,  but none that must be pursued at the expense of this!

In honor of everyone’s favorite mole..err Governess, I would like to state a position of mine that I gleaned from her obviously logical philosophical musings in her recent commercial on Abortion:

Poopemerges opposes Rape, but believes that this highly personal decision should be between a rapist freak and his private parts…not made by politicians. Whereas some religious folk take the extreme view that almost every form of rape should be illegal.
